About

Hello, I'm Gita

I’ve been working as a psychotherapist in both the NHS and private practice for 15 years.

Over those years, I’ve seen how much can begin to change when someone feels able to give therapy the time and space it needs.

I also know this through my own experience of therapy.

I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist, but what matters most isn’t the name of the therapy I offer. It’s the relationship we build together.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do or offer quick solutions.

Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface. We’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, helping you make sense of thoughts and feelings that may have felt confusing or overwhelming for a very long time.

People often arrive believing they will always feel this way.

But little by little, things can begin to shift.

That harsh inner voice may start to lose some of its power.

You may begin to understand yourself instead of constantly judging yourself.

You may feel less pressure to hide who you are or keep everything inside.

Life can begin to feel calmer.

Relationships may become easier.

You may find yourself speaking up more, setting healthier boundaries and feeling more connected to yourself.

Looking after your emotional wellbeing isn’t self-indulgent.

When you’ve spent years living with low self-esteem or harsh self-criticism, it can affect every part of your life — your relationships, your confidence, your work, your physical wellbeing and the way you see yourself.

If only you knew how different life could feel when you allow yourself the time and space to understand yourself more deeply.

I know that contacting a therapist can feel like a huge step.

Trust doesn’t happen overnight, and I don’t expect it to.

My hope is that together we can build a relationship where you no longer feel you have to wear a mask or pretend everything is okay.

A relationship where you can talk openly.

Where we can explore what lies underneath your struggles.

Where you can begin to feel understood, accepted and more fully yourself.
